<p>A seal for a stented prosthesis for obstructing para-prosthesis leakage, the seal comprising a hollow sleeve for defining a space for swellable material that swells when contacted by at least a component of body fluid, at least a portion of the member comprising material permeable to at least some components of the body fluid. In some embodiments, the permeable material has a pore-size of less than about 0.005mm, optionally about or less than about 0.004mm.
