The present invention relates to a parking management method which uses a car stopper which is capable of recognizing a license plate number which includes: a step of determining whether a car is parked in a parking section or not through a vehicle detection unit prepared in a car stopper; a step of transmitting a non-occupied parking section provided by the determination to a parking management system through a communications module prepared in the car stopper; a step of providing the non-occupied parking section to a user; a step of recognizing a vehicle entering the non-occupied parking section through a license plate number recognition unit prepared in the car stopper; a step of transmitting license number information of the vehicle to the parking management system through the communications module; a step of measuring a parking time of the vehicle through the vehicle detection unit; a step of transmitting the parking time information to the parking management system through the communications module; and a step of calculating a parking fee in the parking management system using the parking time information. According to the present invention, the parking management is easy since the license number of a vehicle which is being parked in a parking section even if the information of the vehicle is not collected at the entrance by recognizing a license plate number of the vehicle entering the parking section using the license plate number recognition unit prepared in the car stopper, and hence, the parking section can be easily found by a user. |
