<p>The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a photo-alignment layer which includes the following steps: spraying a polymer material on a substrate; pre-baking the polymer material sprayed on the substrate; optically aligning the polymer material by emitting a light source to the polymer material which is pre-baked; and curing the polymer material to which the light source is emitted by post-baking the polymer material to which the light source is emitted. The post-baking process is composed of a first post-baking process and a second post-baking process which is performed at a temperature which is higher than the temperature of the first post-baking process. Particularly, the method for manufacturing the photo-alignment layer according to the present invention improves the afterimage, brightness, and contrast ratio of a liquid crystal display device by improving the alignment property of a photoreactive material in the photo-alignment layer by post-baking the photo-alignment layer at different temperatures in two steps.</p> |
