SMOKE DETECTOR WITH AIRFLOW BARRIER A smoke detector system (100) that includes an airflow barrier (102) installed between a detector base unit (106) and a mounting surface (112) to ensure there is separation between the detector base unit (106) and the mounting surface (112). The barrier (102) isolates and seals the smoke detector (100) to prevent the formation of condensation in or around the smoke detector (100). The barrier (102) further includes a cavity (105) that can collect condensation if condensation does occur. The condensation is then directed to a channel (104) that extends around the periphery of the airflow barrier (102).
