PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery warm-up system appropriately warming up a main engine battery.SOLUTION: A battery warm-up system 701 includes: a main engine battery 15 that is mounted in a vehicle such as a hybrid vehicle, that can supply electric power for driving the vehicle, and that is warmed up by internal resistive heating accompanying input/output of the electric power; electrical heating means (a heat pump system 30, an electric heater 48, and a seat heater 51) generating heat by the electric power supplied from the main engine battery 15 for heating a vehicle cabin 50; and a control device 600 that controls a battery temperature of the main engine battery 15 by controlling the supply of the electric power from the main engine battery 15 to the electrical heating means. Increasing the supply of the electric power from the main engine 15 to the electrical heating means enables increasing an output from the main engine battery 15 and enables the main engine battery 15 to be appropriately warmed up. Since the battery temperature rises, an internal resistance of the main engine battery 15 decreases to thereby make it possible to reduce power loss. Furthermore, it is possible to avoid lack of battery output and appropriately secure driving power of the vehicle. |
