PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system of an engine which can sufficiently prevent cooling water from flowing into a gap between a spacer member accommodated in a water jacket and a cylinder bore wall.SOLUTION: A spacer 40 having a peripheral wall 41 adjacently opposing to a cylinder bore wall 32a is accommodated in a block-side water jacket 33. A flange 42 extending toward the outside of the spacer 40 is provided in an end of the peripheral wall 41 in a cylinder head side. Communication holes 53a-53f through which the block-side water jacket 33 and a head-side water jacket communicate with each other are provided in a gasket 50 provided between a cylinder block 3 and a cylinder head. A flow facilitation part 46 is provided in the flange 42 to facilitate a flow of cooling water, present in the outside of the peripheral wall 41 of the spacer 40 within the block-side water jacket 33, into the communication holes 53a-53f. |
