IMAGE DISPLAY SYSTEM, EXTERNAL UNIT AND IMAGE DISPLAY METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display system and an image display method capable of obtaining an image of an appropriate image quality while preventing increase of manufacturing cost of an image display unit.SOLUTION: The image display system includes an image display unit and an external unit which communicate with each other. The image display unit has a display panel and transmits a piece of unique information containing a piece of display panel information relevant to the display panel to the external unit. The external unit calculates a parameter for determining the image quality the unique information received from the image display unit, and transmits the calculated parameter or a data relevant thereto to the image display unit.
