PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transmittance of light transmitted through a liquid crystal device.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 11 in which a perpendicular line of a display surface is disposed inclined by a tilt angle with respect to an optical path of a light source 12 includes: a substrate 21 that is disposed opposed to the light source 12; a substrate 20 that is disposed opposed to the substrate 21; a liquid crystal layer 22 that is sandwiched between the substrates 20 and 21; a color filter 32 that is provided on the substrate 21 and has a plurality of coloring members provided corresponding to a plurality of pixels; a black matrix BM that is provided on the substrate 21 and between the adjacent coloring members; and a plurality of switching transistors 23 that are provided on the substrate 20 and are provided corresponding to the plurality of pixels. The black matrix BM is disposed deviated by a given deviation amount from the center of the switching transistors 23. |
