PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel condition for culturing Brevibacillus bacterium, which enables the improvement in the quantity of a recombinant protein secreted/produced per cell and the increase in the density of cells during the culture and also enables the preparation of the recombinant protein at a lower cost compared with conventional techniques, and which can be scaled up to an industrial level.SOLUTION: In the production of a recombinant protein by using a genetically engineered Brevibacillus bacterium, the culture of the bacterium is carried out by using fructose as a carbon source, thereby providing a novel condition for culturing the Brevibacillus bacterium, which enables the improvement in the quantity of the recombinant protein secreted/produced per cell and the increase in the density of cells during the culture and also enables the preparation of the recombinant protein at a lower cost compared with conventional techniques, and which can be scaled up to an industrial level. |
