causing a first portion of video to be presented on a display; determining a character of interest to a viewer in the first portion of video based at least in part on a specification of the character by the viewer; identifying, using a hardware processor, the character in a second portion of video while the first portion of video is being presented using facial recognition, wherein the second portion of video is stored in a buffer associated with the display; and causing an alert to be presented, wherein the alert at least identifies the character. |
