IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO LIGHTNING PROTECTION SYSTEMS FOR WIND TURBINE BLADES

A method of fabricating a pre-formed component of a lightning protection system for a wind turbine blade, the method comprising providing a first fabric layer; applying a conductive layer to the first fabric layer; and applying a second fabric layer so as to sandwich the conductive layer between the first and second insulating layers. The invention also resides a preformed component of a lightning protection system for a wind turbine blade comprising a conductive layer sandwiched between a first fabric layer and a second fabric layer.
