PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fabric with a strain sensor and clothing in which high sensor sensitivity can be obtained and a feeling of wearing is superior.SOLUTION: A fabric with a strain sensor of the present invention includes an elastic sheet-like fabric and the strain sensor stacked on one surface side of the fabric. The fabric has a composite layer containing fiber and resin contributing to bonding of the strain sensor on the surface layer of at least a portion of an area with the strain sensor stacked thereon. Preferably, an average thickness of the composite layer is 5% or more and 40% or less relative to the average thickness of the fabric. An adhesive layer may be provided between the composite layer and the strain sensor. A slip resistance layer may be provided in an area where at least the strain sensor is not present among the surface and the rear face of the fabric. Also, the clothing of another invention includes an area constituted by the fabric with the strain sensor.
