<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely manufacture an optical fiber ribbon having a coupling structure in which adjacent optical ribbons are intermittently coupled in a longitudinal direction, with high productivity.SOLUTION: A plurality of groove portions 23 provided at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction is provided on an outer peripheral surface of a first die part 21 and an inner peripheral surface of a second die part 22. One optical fiber ribbon 11 is inserted in one groove portion 23, and the periphery of the optical fiber ribbon 11 is covered by a coating material to form a coating layer. On at least a part of the groove portions, the first die part 21 or the second die part 22 is driven to rotate while reciprocating in the circumferential direction so as to alternately take a position at which the positions of the groove portion 23 of the first die part 21 and the groove portion 23 of the second die part 22 match one to one and spaces between the groove portions are coupled, and a position at which the spaces between the groove portion 23 of the first die portion 21 and the groove portion 23 of the second die portion 22 are not coupled and separated.</p> |
