PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily brake a movement of a lock rod as well as suppress a return striking sound of a lever with braking force which is stable and effective over a wide range.SOLUTION: A lock device includes a lever 2 which is provided rotatably for a cover body, and switched from an initial state to an operation state against energizing force or its own weight, lock rods 6, 7 which are slid associatively as the lever is rotated, and braking means 5, and locks the cover body to a main body side through the lock rods and also unlocks the lock rods through the rotation of the lever. The braking means 5 is a rotary damper which has a braking shaft 52 with a gear 53, and is mounted on the lever 2 to be substantially aligned with the center of rotation of the lever so as to brake the lever and lock rods, and has a work gear 3 which is arranged engaging the gear 53 of the rotary damper, and interlocks the gear 53 with slides of the lock rods 6, 7 and also rotates the gear in the opposite direction from the rotation of the lever 2. |
