PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct misregistration of a toner image to be transferred to a sheet in an image transfer unit, in a short time with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A conveyance apparatus includes: conveyance means for transferring an image formed on an image carrier, and conveying the transferred image to be transferred to a recording medium; first measurement means which measures the amount of displacement from a reference position of the conveyance means in a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the conveyance means when the image formed on the image carrier is transferred to the conveyance means; second measurement means which measures the amount of displacement from the reference position of the conveyance means in the direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the conveyance means when the image transferred to the conveyance means is transferred to the recording medium; third measurement means which measures the amount of displacement from a reference position of the recording medium in the direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the conveyance means; and correction means which corrects a position of the recording medium, on the basis of a correction value calculated by the amounts of displacement measured by the first, second and third measurement means.
