PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter weight block which does not take long time necessary for movement and stacking thereof at a work site and can maintain a comparatively tall laminate in a fixed state so that the laminate does not fall down.SOLUTION: A counter weight block 100 has a plurality of protruding portions 124 provided on the upper face thereof and a plurality of recessed portions provided on the bottom face thereof. The recessed portions are shaped so as to house protruding portions of other identical counter weight blocks. The protruding portions and the recessed portions are arranged so that when the other two identical counter weight blocks are alternately arranged side by side, the counter weight block 100 is stacked, with the protruding portions of the one identical counter weight block being fitted into the recessed portions of the counter weight block on the one identical counter weight block; or arranged across the two identical counter weight blocks so that the counted weight block is stacked with a part of the protruding portions of each counter weight block being fitted into the recessed portions of the counter weight block.
