The purpose of the present invention is to provide a novel filter material and a filter using same. Specifically, provided are the following: a filter material with which treatment can be performed in a brief period of time, without clogging of the filter, while high cell separation performance is still maintained; and a filter using this material. More specifically, provided are a filter material in which masses (flocs) of fibers are distributed evenly, and a filter using this material. Due to the present invention, provided are the following: a novel filter material having superior cell separation performance and liquid permeation performance regardless of design matters of filters known prior to the filing of the present invention; and a cell separation method that is effective using a novel filter obtained by layering the filter material. |
