An apparatus and method for sharing content using short-range communications in mobile devices are provided to share content by using short-range communications, by comprising: a short-range communications unit that performs short-range communications with a terminal requesting for contents and sends and receives data; a service creating unit that, when the occurrence of a sharing event that share at least one content is detected, starts a short-range communications service with a set identification information as the identification information of short-range communications service; a shared file creating unit that creates the at least one content into a shared file having a set file name; and a file sharing unit that, when the terminal requesting contents requests for the provision of the shared file, provides the shared file. |
