An electric floor heating system comprises corrugated, insulating ducts 2, preferably of hard P.V.C., and each containing at least two heating elements 4. The elements are connected in parallel to a cold lead 8 passing through a watertight seal 6 and may be bare or sheathed, either individually or collectively. Various sheathing arrangements are described (Figs. 3 ... 7, not shown) employing circular or flat elements. The ducts may be laid straight or in U or zig-zag form, connected to trunking or one or more access boxes 10 which may be housed behind skirting board. The bore of the duct is twenty to fifty times the overall dimensions of the elements. |
