A bag 10 opened by a tear string 18 is resealed by means of an area of pressure sensitive adhesive 20. The bag may be made from one or two sheets sealed by heat or adhesive along four or three edges and may include a bottom gusset fold. Notches 36 facilitate use of the tear string 18 which in other embodiments is a tear tape or tear line. The bag may be transparent or translucent, and may include semi-rigid walls. The area of pressure sensitive adhesive has a protective cover 22.
