The present invention relates to a method and a device to recognize a motion using a sensor. Especially, the present invention enables an accurate and detailed measurement by determining whether a user moves or not by checking the range of a wavelength when the sum of three axes (X, Y, Z) of an acceleration sensor exceeds a threshold value by sensing the motion of the moving or stopping state of a user by using the acceleration sensor included in a terminal. The present invention also improves the performance speed of a motion recognition by performing the motion recognition after eliminating the information of a corresponding section if a speed lower than a preset minimum speed is measured in the stopping state of a user. The present invention also improves the performance speed of a motion recognition by performing the motion recognition after eliminating the information of a corresponding section if a speed higher than a preset maximum speed is measured in the moving state of a user. |
