<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump device which supplies a part of pumped-up liquid to be pressure-supplied to a mechanical seal. <P>SOLUTION: The pump device 1 having a pump 6 connected to a motor 3 via a rotating shaft 4 includes: the pump 6 having a cam 36 on its inner surface 31a, a pump casing 31 having at least one side opened, and an impeller 32 accommodated in the pump casing 31; and a housing 11 having the mechanical seal 13 accommodated therein and one side opened.
