<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a sheet feeding apparatus and a control method thereof, and a document reading apparatus, which can prevent an inversely aligned state of a sheet bundle and can improve feeding performance. <P>SOLUTION: The document reading apparatus 1 with the sheet feeding apparatus has: a conveying path 10 formed between an upper and a lower guide units 2b and 2a; a paper feeding roller 3 which feeds a document d1 by a partial exposure from an upper surface of the lower guide unit to the conveying path; a separation member 5 disposed to oppose the paper feeding roller; a stopper 7 which stops entrance of the document into the conveying path by butting against the document D in a closed state in which the stopper is moved in a direction to intersect with an exposed surface of the paper feeding roller; a driving unit 42 which drives at least the paper feeding roller and the stopper; and a control unit 41 which controls the driving unit to rotate the paper feeding roller just at a predetermined angle in a document feeding direction and then open the stopper when feeding of the document is started from the closed state of the stopper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
