摘要 <p>The invention relates to a method and an arrangement (60) for checking fingerprints (2) for authenticity by means of optical coherence tomography, wherein the method has at least the following steps: real fingerprints (1) are scanned by means of a scanning unit (4) for the optical coherence tomography; three-dimensional maps in the form of volume data records (7) are created; the volume data records (7) of the real fingerprints (1) are broken down at least into a large number of single parameters in the form of technical electrical signal trains that are equivalent to individual authenticity parameters; the volume data record (7) of the real fingerprint (1) is permanently stored; and in order to check an examination fingerprint (2), an examination fingerprint (2) is scanned by means of the same scanning unit (4); three-dimensional maps in the form of a volume data record (7) are created; the volume data record (7) of the examination fingerprint (2) is broken down at least into a respective technical electrical signal train that is equivalent to the individual single parameter; the volume data record (7) of the examination fingerprint (2) is temporarily stored in a temporary memory unit (19); the individual single parameters from the temporarily stored volume data record (7) of the examination fingerprint (2) are compared with all single parameters from the permanently stored volume data records (7) of the real fingerprints (1) in the respective comparison units associated with the technical electrical signal trains that are equivalent to single parameters; the comparison result signals from all comparison units are transmitted to a decision logic unit (11); the concordance or the difference between stored real fingerprint (1) and temporarily stored examination fingerprint (2) is output from the decision logic unit (11), wherein the concordance and hence authenticity are defined when all technical electrical signal trains for the associated temporary examination fingerprint (2) that are equivalent to the single parameters correspond to at least one permanently stored real fingerprint (1), from the respective large number of permanently stored real fingerprints (1), that is associated with the single parameters of the equivalent technical electrical signal trains.</p>
