<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for processing a glass plate, provided with a cleaving device capable of cleaving a glass plate at a high speed without requiring a template or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The cleaving device 7 includes: a supporting means to support a glass plate 2 to be cleaved; a cleaving head means 72a to cleave the glass plate 2 along a cutting line by pressing a given part of the glass plate 2 supported by the supporting means; and a moving means 73a to move the cleaving head means 72a relatively to the given part to be pressed in the glass plate 2 supported by the supporting means. The supporting means includes: an endless belt 60 on which the glass plate 2 is placed; a movable partial supporting mechanism which partially supports the endless belt 60 from the back side thereof; and a moving means to move the respective partial supporting mechanism relatively to the glass plate 2 in accordance with the given part of the glass plate 2 to be pressed by the cleaving head means 72a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
