<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that suppression of the storage capacity required for holding integral images is restricted. <P>SOLUTION: An image feature detection system includes an integral image creation function 101, a pixel value down-bit point detection function 102, an integral image pixel down-bit function 103, a down-bit integral image creation function 104, an integral image end-point read function 105, a pixel value up-bit function 106, a rectangular region pixel value sum computation function 107, a feature value vector computation function 108 and a feature value vector output function 109. A bit precision of a buffer used for holding an integral image is set low, and a pixel position where a pixel value of the integral image overflows is held as a down-bit point. By referring to a position of a down-bit point when computing a feature amount, the feature amount is computed while reproducing a pixel value of the integral image prior to overflow. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
