Heading F1A, In a pump or motor comprising a cylinder block 7 rotatable by a drive flange 3 acting through slippers 13, piston rods 4 and pistons 5, the drive flange is supported at its periphery 18 by a radial thrust bearing 17. The cylinder block and valve plate assembly is tiltable relative to drive flange 3 on trunnions. The drive shaft 2 is supported by a radial thrust bearing 19, and carries a gear wheel 21 of a gear pump 21, 22. Each slipper 13 is slidable in drive flange 3 and engages a rotatable thrust plate 14, hydraulic balancing being effected by supplying liquid to a recess in the slipper face via passages through the piston, piston rod and slipper and a restriction in the slipper. |
