The present invention stably produces hot water by combustion with improved heat efficiency and long-time stability by biomass fuel such as firewood. A hot water tank (3) is formed so as to surround a combustion chamber (9) of a combustion furnace (2) for burning biomass. An upper edge (21a) at the height of a smoke outlet (21) is provided at a back wall (9d) of the combustion chamber (9) so as to be located at a position less than or equal to half the height of the combustion chamber (9). A smoke tube (5) for emitting smoke from the combustion chamber (9) is disposed to penetrate a water heating chamber (10) of the hot water tank (3). A pipe (4) for heat exchange is removably disposed in the upper part of the combustion chamber (9). The water heating chamber (10) for producing hot water is disposed around the combustion chamber (9). A heat storage tank (7) for storing the hot water in the water heating chamber (10) may be disposed. |
