<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of suitably detecting a developer amount even when developer amount detection means is disposed near a communicating part between two conveyance paths in a developing device equipped with a developing conveying member having a hollow spiral shape, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the same.SOLUTION: A developer is circularly conveyed among a first conveying part 74a, a second communicating part 705, a second conveying part 74b and a first communicating part 704 in a developing device 70. A partition plate 701 partitions the first conveying part 74a and the second conveying part 74b. A first conveying screw 72 having a hollow spiral shape is disposed in the first conveying part 74a. In addition, a toner sensor 80 for detecting the amount of the developer circularly conveyed is disposed in a second wall part 70C. Further, an auxiliary partition plate 90 is disposed at an end part on the side of the second wall part 70C of the partition plate 701. The auxiliary partition plate 90 closes the upper part of a region on the side of the partition plate 701 of the second communicating part 705.</p> |
