<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for non-invasively and directly quantifying a state of collagen in a skin such as a dermic layer. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: (a) irradiating ultrashort pulse light into the skin, detecting generated second harmonic wave light (SHG light) to acquire an SHG light image; and (b) quantifying a density of the collagen in the skin, based on the acquired SHG light image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
