<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate the arrival time of an electromagnetic wave having a temporal expanse. <P>SOLUTION: An arrival time estimation method includes: simulating a temporal response of an electric field and a magnetic field at a predetermined reception position when an electromagnetic wave is transmitted from a predetermined transmission position in an analysis space where any article reflecting or absorbing the electromagnetic wave does not exist in a propagation path of the electromagnetic wave; simulating likewise the temporal response in an analysis space where the article exists in the propagation path of the electromagnetic wave; and estimating a time when the electromagnetic wave has arrived at the reception position based on the temporal response of the electric field obtained in the both simulations, estimating likewise a time based on the temporal response of the magnetic field, and finally estimating an arrival time based on the two estimation results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
