<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary kiln capable of preventing pollutants produced by reaction between a metal retort and a processing object during heating treatment from mixing into a product as well as preventing occurrence of a crack of a ceramic layer resulting from a thermal expansion difference between the metal retort and the ceramic layer.SOLUTION: A rotary kiln 1 of the invention includes a retort 4 having an exhaust port 2 provided on one end side for the processing object and a supply port 3 provided on the another end side for the processing object, the retort 4 being arranged rotatably about a shaft center 4a of the retort 4, in which the retort 4 includes a metal shell 5 and a ceramic tube 6 provided within the metal shell 5 slidably in an axial direction and relative to the metal shell 5. On one end side of the retort 4, a pressing mechanism 7 is provided for pressing the ceramic tube 6 toward the another end side. On the another end side of the retort 4, a stopper mechanism 8 is provided for regulating movement of the retort 4 toward the another end side.</p> |
