<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for an offset ink capable of preferably adjusting the emulsion suitability of an ink so as to restrain generation of a printing problem, a varnish for an offset ink and an ink composition for offset printing. <P>SOLUTION: The additive for an offset ink is an alkylene oxide adduct of an alkylphenol and/or a (poly)styryl phenol, and a formaldehyde polycondensate.
