An electric lamp, especially a battery hand lamp has a transparent cover 12 consisting of a central portion 13 adapted to receive and enclose the front of the lamp bulb 11 and a saucer-shaped skirt portion 15 integral with and extending radially from the central portion, a reflector 21 which may be a layer of metal deposited on the rear of the skirt portion or may be a separate polished metal reflector being provided on and conforming to the shape of the rear face of the skirt portion. The central portion 13 may be cylindrical with a flat front surface 14. The edges of the skirt portion may be turned over at 18 and provided with a head 19 engaging in a groove 20 in the body 10 of the lamp. |
