<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader and a light receiver in which the length of wiring connected to a plurality of light receiving units can be shortened compared to the case that the light receiving unit which outputs information indicating the intensity of received light outputs the information without interposing the other light receiving units. <P>SOLUTION: An image reader 100 includes: a light source 12 for irradiating an original 9; a plurality of light receiving units 301, 302 and 303 for receiving reflected light 8b for which the light of the light source 12 is reflected on the original 9 and generating image information corresponding to the intensity of the reflected light 8b; and an image processing unit 413 for performing image processing on the basis of the image information generated by the plurality of light receiving units 301, 302 and 303. The plurality of light receiving units 301, 302 and 303 are arranged in a main scanning direction, and are connected in series so as to transfer the image information of the light receiving unit 301 on the upstream side to the image processing unit 413 through the other light receiving units 302 and 303 on the downstream side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
