A DC/DC boost power converter (1) comprising:
an input voltage selection circuit (5) adapted to split a DC input voltage, V in , applied by a DC power source (2) to input terminals (6, 7) of a DC bus having a positive bus line (8) and
a negative bus line (9) into subvoltages applied to corresponding DC bus capacitors, C BUS , being connected in series to each other between said bus lines (8, 9) of said DC bus,
wherein a pump charge circuit connected across each pair of neighboring DC bus capacitors, C BUS , is adapted to pump electrical charges received from said DC power source (2) to one of said bus lines (8, 9) of said DC bus to provide a boosted DC output voltage at output terminals (10, 11) of said DC bus. |
