Method and communication system for continuous recording of data from the environment

The method involves continuously receiving ambient data e.g. ambient noise data or ambient image data, by a mobile device (11) of a user (1), and sending the data to a remote server (4). The data is automatically divided and/or indexed dependent on contents of the data and/or metadata, which are generated from external events with respect to the mobile device and/or the user. The divided and/or indexed data are read by the user, and data sets are produced from the received data.
