PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic actuator that secures the minimum operation even when a solenoid coil itself is disconnected or the connection between the solenoid coil and the outside is disconnected or becomes a contact failure.SOLUTION: A pressure control valve 11 has a solenoid coil 21. A positive terminal 22a being the winding start of the solenoid coil is connected to a positive electrode of a vehicle battery 41 and a first drive circuit 52 for back up of the pressure control valve. A negative terminal 22b being the winding end of the solenoid coil is connected to a pressure-control-valve drive circuit 51. The actuator is configured to have an intermediate terminal 22c being an intermediate position between the winding start and the winding end of the solenoid coil 21. The intermediate terminal is connected to a second drive circuit 53 for back up of the pressure control valve in order to allow electric conduction during the normal operation between the winding start and the winding end of the solenoid coil 21. Meanwhile, the intermediate terminal allows electric conduction between the winding start and the intermediate position of the solenoid coil 21 or electric conduction between the intermediate position and the winding end of the solenoid coil 21 if required when a connection failure occurs. |
