<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an insulator layer which is further evenly packed with liquid insulating silicon rubber, relating to a cylindrical protection coated body and a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A cylindrical protection coated body 10 which protects a cable connection structure 1 includes a cylindrical external semiconductor layer 12 formed of conductive silicon rubber, an internal semiconductor layer 14 provided in the cylinder of the external semiconductor layer 12, a pair of cylindrical stress cones provided to both ends of the external semiconductor layer 12, and an insulator layer 20 formed by curing liquid insulating silicon rubber after packing it in the space surrounded by the external semiconductor layer 12, the internal semiconductor layer 14, the pair of stress cones 16 and 18, and a cable insert hole 28. At least one of the pair of stress cones 16 and 18 contains an injection hole 24 through which the liquid insulation silicon rubber is injected.
