<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic deceleration device for an automobile which reduces speed error for the target speed at the real target position, consequently can set such a deceleration pattern as to hardly give uncomfortable feeling to a driver. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic deceleration device for an automobile first performs deceleration at a large deceleration a1 toward the target speed vt at the target position PO, next performs deceleration at a small deceleration a2 toward the target position PO and, thereby reduces the speed errorΔv at the real target position. When applying automatic brake, fluctuations in the spot where an automobile reaches the target speed vt are caused by position detection errors on a navigation apparatus and, therefore, it is possible to get to be insensible to errors at a low G corresponding to the second deceleration a2. First, deceleration is performed at a large G corresponding to the first deceleration a1, and when approaching the target spot, G is weakened and, therefore, the uncomfortable feeling is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
