<p>A mobile loading dock (10) for a vehicle including a load-bearing, fixed frame (98) with a support plate (100) connected to diagonal supports (102, 104) and horizontal support (106, 108) members. The dock has a planar ramp member (12) with an underside including a wheel assembly (72). The assembly has a tension spring (74) and hydraulic member (76) attached to the underside. The tension spring exerts a pulling force and the hydraulic member exerts a pushing force. The combined forces are directionally disposed to erect the assembly when the lower end of the dock is raised from a resting position in contact with the ground surface to a mobile position.</p> |
