An installation device for a slide assembly includes a first rail (11) and a second rail (12) which has a guide seat (20) and two slots (22a), (22b) for being connected with an exterior equipment (10). A positioning member (14) is fixed to the second rail (12) and an arm board (26) has a positioning hole (30) located corresponding to one of the slots (22a), (22b) of the second rail (12) so that one of installation members (58), (60) of the exterior equipment (10) is engaged with the positioning hole (30). An end board (28) has a through hole (32) and an end piece (34) extending toward the second rail (12). The release member (16) is movably installed to the second rail (12). When the release member (16) is moved by an exterior force and positioned by the guide seat (20), the protrusion (48) of the release member (16) pushes the end piece (34) to keep the positioning hole (30) away from the second rail (12) and the exterior equipment (10) can be removed from the positioning hole (30).
