USE OF SPEXIN AS LIGAND OF GALANIN RECEPTOR TYPE 3

摘要

The present invention relates to use of spexin as ligand of a type-3 galanin receptor. The spexin is specifically bound with the type-3 galanin receptor. The binding between the spexin and the type-3 galanin receptor occurs specifically in brain tissue in which the type-3 galanin receptor is expressed. Therefore, there is possibility that the spexin is involved in various physiological functions related to the type-3 galanin receptor. Therefore, the spexin can be used to develop a diagnosis formulation for diagnosing disorders and diseases, caused by lack of a spexin and type-3-galanin-receptor system, or can be used as a material for a new medicine for developing a treating agent.
