The present invention is related to a vehicle information service method and a system thereof. and more specifically to a vehicle information service method and a system thereof which involve: creating an open-end network using smart sensor units and smart devices instead of the conventional closed vehicle network; building the vehicle′s environmental data in a form of big data to offer a variety of services; and providing services such as the manufacturer′s vehicle performance or safety management based on the carbon monoxide concentration level in a vehicle depending on the model or the model year, and profit-making services such as auto part replacement notices and other types of advertisements through an open platform on a smart gateway. The vehicle information service system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the following: the smart sensor units which sense and collect environmental information within the vehicle and transmit the environmental information to the smart gateway for providing a wireless charging function of the smart devices; the smart gateway which is installed on the smart devices in an open platform shape, collects information on the smart sensor units through wireless local area communications, and transmits the information to a service fusion network unit; and the service fusion network unit which creates meaningful information out of big data based on the information received from the smart gateway.
