The present invention relates to a device and a method to calculate quantity and a recording medium including a program executing the same. The formation of the present invention includes a preprocessing module generating a standard symbol database by recognizing symbols used for a picture drawing; an analyzing module recognizing and analyzing information on the picture drawing, which is an analysis subject, based on the symbol database on the picture drawing, generated by the preprocessing module; an final calculating module calculating quantity by using an analysis result of the analyzing module; a confirming module confirming whether a user approves information, which does not satisfy an accuracy standard, among all the information recognized by the analyzing module; and a preparing module setting whether to decide an opinion through user intervention into each of the preprocessing module, the analyzing module, the final calculating module, and the confirming module. Thus, the quantity on the picture drawing is accurately calculated.
