<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reliably re-checking the insertion depth of a reinforcing bar in a reinforcing bar joint even after filling and curing a grout material. <P>SOLUTION: A cylindrical joint 10 having a check window 13 at the central part in the axial direction is prepared. The check window 13 is mounted with a transparent cap 20. Two reinforcing bars 1 are screwed into the joint 10. The observation of each end 1a of the two reinforcing bars 1 through a closing plate part 22 of the cap 20 from the check window 13 allows checking of the connection of the reinforcing bars 1 at a depth equal to or deeper than a predetermined depth. A grout material 30 is subsequently filled through an inlet 22a formed in the closing plate part 22 of the cap 20. After curing of the grout material 30, the grout material 30 at the check window 13 is scraped off from the check window 13, so that the outer periphery of the end 1a of the reinforcing bar 1 is exposed to the check window 13.
