Provided is a housing 200 for a portable gas heater, the housing having an inner volume for receipt of a gas cylinder 300, wherein the housing 200 is configured for fitting over the cylinder 300. The housing 200 may comprise a main housing unit 210 which cooperates with a tray-like base unit (220, fig.2). Burner(s) 260, eg of ribbon type, may be located at an opening 250 extending along top and side edges of the housing 210. A perforated mesh cover (214, figs.3,4,6) may be provided for the burner(s). Also provided is a housing 200, for a portable gas heater, comprising an integrated regulator housing 230 having a built-in regulator 237, wherein the regulator housing is configured for coupling with a valve 330 on a gas cylinder 300. The top portion of the main housing 210 may receive the shroud 350 of the cylinder 300. The regulator housing may be engaged with the valve 330by pressing a dimple 236 on the housing 230. |
