PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide type multi-core writing instrument having a safety mechanism in which a writing tip of a writing body automatically sinks in a tip opening of a shaft by lifting a clip when inserted into a pocket of a garment in a state that the writing tip of the writing body protrudes from the tip opening of the shaft.SOLUTION: A locking wall 11 is formed inside a clip 3. In a rear shaft 2 (shaft), a locking projection 22 lockable with the locking wall 11, and a releasing body 26 having a plurality of slide grooves 24 for housing a sliding body 19 are provided so as to be biased in the forward direction of the rear shaft 2 by a coil spring 31. The sliding body 19 is housed in each of the slide grooves 24 so that the locking projection 22 projects from a locking hole 27 formed at a side 2a of the rear shaft 2. When the tip of a ball-point pen body 12 (writing body) protrudes, the locking projection 22 abuts on the locking wall 11 and the tip of the clip 3 separates from the side 2a of the rear shaft 2 to release the locking state, and then the releasing body 26 and the ball-point pen body 12 retreat. |
