<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector device and a method of connecting the connector device and a coated core wire without breaking the coating of the coated core wire in advance. <P>SOLUTION: A groove 14 is formed on an internal member 10, and a projection 15 is formed in the groove 14. When a coated core wire is put in the groove 14 and the internal member 10 is inserted into a housing 20, the coating of the core wire is pierced by the projection 15, and the projection 15 and the metal wire of the core wire are electrically connected to each other. The projection 15 is connected to a signal line 16 of the internal member 10, and an electrode 17 of the signal line 16 is connected to an electrode 27 formed on the internal wall surface 26 of the housing 20.
