<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve vehicle operational performance by effectively reducing a time delay of an increase in engine output during vehicle acceleration. <P>SOLUTION: An engine supercharger includes: a turbo supercharger 2 mounted to an engine 1 installed in a vehicle; an electric motor 2M attached to a rotary shaft connecting between a turbine 2T and a compressor 2C of the turbo supercharger 2; a control means 5 for driving the electric motor 2M during acceleration of the vehicle; and a selected-gear-position detecting means 10 for detecting the selected-gear position of a transmission interposed between the engine 1 and a drive system of the vehicle. The control means 5 detects the selected-gear position by the selected-gear-position detecting means 10 during acceleration of the vehicle and adjusts the rotation increase speed of the electric motor 2M according to the detected selected-gear position, thereby assisting the increase in rotation of the turbo supercharger 2, executed by the electric motor 2M, according to the selected-gear position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
